We are absolutely gutted to announce that due to the constant restrictions and uncertainty of whether our shows could go ahead, we are having to cancel the EU leg of our tour. We can’t apologise enough for leaving it so late, this was simply to monitor the situation as it is constantly changing. Full refunds are available for all and we can’t thank you enough for buying tickets to see us on what was meant to be our first EU tour. We promise we’ll be back soon, Love Kawala ❤️“.

Wer auf handgemachte Folk-Musik mit verträumten Rhythmen steht, ist bei den Londoner Musikern von KAWALA genau richtig.

KAWALA, die sich um das Kern-Duo aus Sänger Jim Higson und Gitarrist/Sänger Daniel McCarthy gruppieren, sind keine typische Band. Als sich der Sound der beiden Frontmänner entwickelte, beschlossen sie, einige Freunde zum jammen einzuladen und ihr Klangspektrum zu erweitern. Schließlich kamen Ben Batten am Schlagzeug, Dan Lee an der Gitarre und Reeve Coulson am Bass hinzu. Angetrieben werden sie von Daniels einzigartigem Akustikgitarrenspiel, das Grenzen überschreitet und Elemente aus verschiedenen Genres vereint. Die doppelten Vocals des Paares beflügeln den üppigen instrumentalen Sound der Musikgruppe und lassen eine ganz eigene Harmoniestruktur entstehen.
